Pardon the Interruption
Have you ever been interrupted at the worst time possible? Right at that time when you had a rhythm or on a roll of wonder, on a train of thought so tight that you could write the next State of the Union address for our 44th president? Who likes to be interrupted, does anyone?
Imagine that you are in the middle of perfecting your craft, or getting yourself lined up for the next promotion on the job leading to that picture perfect career goal. Imagine that you were interrupted. How are you feeling, what are your thoughts?
Imagine that you were in the middle of a masterpiece, you've been working on this project for months traveling the world and making connections spending days at a time away from your friends and family and suddenly you're interrupted. What are you thinking. How do you feel?
Imagine that you and your family are on a camping vacation, at the campsite that you've scheduled for months in advance, savings in your pocket and the umbrellas are up to protect you from the sun and suddenly you are interrupted by a rain storm, how do you feel and what are you thinking.
Imagine that your child is struggling, tired and ready to give up he/she's tried and tried but it just isn't working out the way he/she has planned. Then suddenly he/she's interrupted. What are you thinking and how are you feeling?
Imagine that you are in the middle of a trial days so dark and it seems that all of the cards were stacked against you. Then suddenly there is an interruption. The sun has risen and joy is at your door. What are you thinking? How are you feeling?
Imagine that this day was the next day and you have a second chance tomorrow without interruptions. What are your thoughts and how are you feeling?
